Areté summer camps are a great experience for horse loving kids and teens.  Campers will learn riding skills, horse safety & handling, horsemanship skills, equine first aid, barn management tools, and horse "fun facts."  Horse riding summer camps are a great way for kids and teens to build confidence and have fun!

Week 1: June 13-17 - FULL
Week 2: June 27 - July 1 - FULL
Week 3: July 11-15 - 1 spot open
Week 4: July 25-29
Week 5: August 8-12 - FULL

The last camp, Week 5, is reserved for younger children that are beginner riders, ages 6 to 10.

Camps are 5 days during the week, 8am to 3pm, for ages 8 to 15 years old.  Students may arrive as early as 7:30am.  Students may also stay until 5:30pm if needed for a small fee.

We will ride every day, have a "class learning" session daily, and possibly a craft. There will be a guest speaker once each week, such as a vet or farrier, as well as some hands on learning and nature hikes.  We have a pond for fishing.  Our tack room/office is air conditioned, which is where we'll have lunch and do classroom style learning and crafts if the weather is too hot or is rainy.  The camps will be limited to 6 students per-week, so we can have a small fun group with lots of riding time.

The cost is $225 for the two July camps and $275 for the June and August camps.  Tuition includes classroom materials and drinks. Students need to bring their own lunch, snacks, and water bottle.  A change of clothes is advisable, so the students can wear cooler clothing after riding lessons are done.
